Use:
The Hepatitis Be Antibody aids in the differential diagnosis, staging, and prognosis of the hepatitis B infection. This test also monitors the infection status of patients who are chronically infected with HBV as well as monitors their response to antiviral therapy.
The hepatitis Be antigen level declines and becomes undetectable and hepatitis Be antibody (anti-HBe) appears in the blood during recovery from acute hepatitis B. Anti-HBe usually remains detectable for several years after recovery from acute infection.
Hepatitis B is a serious liver infection caused by the hepatitis B virus. Some symptoms associated with Hepatitis B are abdominal pain, dark urine, fever, joint pain, loss of appetite, nausea and vomiting, weakness and fatigue and yellowing of your skin and the whites of your eyes (jaundice).
