How it Works

Use:

This test is used to help monitor and diagnose multiple myeloma or any condition where protein production is affected.

A principal use of this test is in the detection of monoclonal gammopathies. These are usually found in association with hemic neoplasms, especially multiple myeloma. They also occur in other benign and malignant conditions.

Recommended For:

Multiple myeloma work-up, chronic liver disease, multiple sclerosis, protein deficiency diagnosis.

Special Notes:

No special preparation is necessary prior to blood sample collection.
