Use:

This stool test is used to isolate and identify an infection caused by the Vibrio bacterial species. V.cholera causes the highly infectious and potentially fatal gastrointestinal infection called cholera by producing rapid, severe diarrhoea, fever, vomiting and dehydration.

This test is separate for a rountine “Stool Culture” because special methods are required to culture and test this organism.

Recommended For:

Diagnosing infection with vibrio cholera.
