Meet Dr. Edward Salko, D.O. — Medical Director of Personalabs

Dr. Edward Salko, D.O. is the Co-Founder and Medical Director
of Personalabs — the direct-to-consumer lab testing company he
helped build from the ground up in 2006 with a single mission:
give every American direct access to the same clinical-grade
blood tests their doctors order, without the barriers of
referrals, insurance approvals, or long waits.

With over four decades of clinical experience in family medicine
and emergency medicine, Dr. Salko brings a frontline perspective
to laboratory medicine that few Medical Directors can match.
Having practiced emergency medicine at Lee Memorial Health System
in Fort Myers, Florida and currently at Kennewick Emergency
Physicians in Washington state, he understands how critical
timely lab results are to patient outcomes — and how often the
traditional healthcare system creates unnecessary delays in
getting people the information they need.

At Personalabs, Dr. Salko oversees the clinical integrity of
every test offered on the platform. Every lab panel — from a
routine CBC to a comprehensive hormone profile — is reviewed
for clinical relevance and accuracy under his medical direction.

Dr. Salko earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and
Pre-Medicine from the University of Florida in Gainesville
and his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the University
of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine in
Kansas City in 1980. He completed his residency in Family
Practice at Southeastern Medical Center in North Miami Beach
and his training at the University of Kansas School of Medicine.

He is board-certified by the American Board of Family Practice,
a Certified Medical Review Officer, and holds certifications
in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and ATLS.
